Over the last couple of months, this blog has gone completely dark and that bums me out because all of the cool things with automation and “the cloud” definitely haven’t stopped – I have some catching up to do.

Between my career which has included a ton of travel (up to 20 business days a week) and the end of summer approaching while home time being crunched by being out of town, my focus fell out of creating IP and blogging.

Thanks to my good friend Tim Carr, I now own a Cisco 5505 ASA so even when I have 20+ days of travel in a month, I can still lab and create blogs. Yay! The 5505 allows for me to VPN into my home network where I keep a slew of VM’s that I use to create my IP and do my testing.

Heres to being excited about labbing and blogging.

I’ll end this post with a few of the activities that kept me quite busy over the last few months:

My two Danes playing with my parents dog

I was able to enjoy totality during the Solar Eclipse of 2017 (Cell picture 🙁  )

I took my mother to Ireland – Cliff of Moher, Ireland

Blarney Castle, Blarney, Ireland

When I was home, I love being on two wheels. 2016 Yamaha FZ09
